Fees And Billing Arrangements
The treating doctor determines the consultation fee based on the complexity of your consultation, whether extra services have been provided and the specific circumstances of your consult. For your convenience we accept cash, cheque, eftpos and credit cards. (No Diners or American Express)
Please phone the practice on 9438 2000 for an appointment. Our staff will endeavour to accommodate your preferred time and requested doctor. This may not always be possible especially if you need to be seen at short notice but alternatives will be offered.
Consultations average 10-15 minutes, however if your appointment is likely to take longer than usual, for example if more than one family member needs to be seen, if you are a new patient at the practice, employment or medical assessments, excisions/minor procedures, please advise reception staff so that adequate time can be allocated.
While doctors try to avoid running late, complex medical problems, interruptions or unforeseen medical emergencies may cause unavoidable delays. We recognise your time is important and apologise for any delays and inconvenience caused. For added convenience appointments can be made online using the health engine online or app.
Veterans Affairs (DVA)
Patients who have a DVA Gold Card or White Card are covered under Veteran Affairs for their consult. We can also organise transport arrangements for you to and from appointments if necessary.
Workers Compensation/Car Accidents
If you sustain an injury at work or in a car accident you will be responsible for paying your account in full. The practice will bill the workplace or insurer direct only if a claim number is provided and liability has been accepted. Any shortfall in moneys received will however remain the responsibility of the patient along with any administrative costs, account keeping fees or debt collection fees.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as early as possible. This may help another patient who requires an appointment. Please note that missed appointments may incur a fee.
This practice operates on an appointment based system. If you phone for an urgent appointment during practice hours the nurse will ask you questions to assess the urgency of your health problem and if necessary will arrange for you to be seen by a doctor or make other arrangements necessary to deal with your problem.
